Cyber Attack Could Close More NHS Dentist Practices

A ransomware attack that wiped out an NHS system used by dentists, and caused a month long outage, has already closed a number of dental practices with the prospect of more to follow.

The Adastra system used by dentists was offline from August to September. The outage had a major impact on out-of-hours dental providers because they did not get the same number of referrals and suffered financial losses.
