Parcels and letters destined for overseas deliveries are piling up at Royal Mail centres following a suspected cyber attack.

Over half a million items are stuck in warehouses after a computer system used to send them overseas crashed.

Customers have been told to expect delays and urged not to post new items until the cyber incident has been dealt with.
